about the book
Cat and Mouse
"Two lawyers that compete to be the best in their field but romance and control take over their goals." - K. Fitzpatrick
As a little girl, Marybeth Strikker has always dreamed of becoming a great and prestigious lawyer. She went onto college and graduated at the top of her class with honors. She passed the bar on her first try. She thought that she would become the most successful lawyer in town.
But someone stands in her way……
Stan Howler is a dark, handsome, and mysterious man with secrets. He is also a lawyer. He is at the top of his game. He can win any case that is given to him. He can also have any woman that he wants.
When Stan sees Marybeth for the first time in the lobby, he knows that he has to have her no matter what it costs him. But can Marybeth resist Stan’s advances and protect herself from the darkness that is yet to come and live to tell it?
Only time will tell in this game of Cat and Mouse…
“You pissed me off. I have - had feelings for you Marybeth.”
“I was always willing to wait for you. I have so much love and respect
for you.”
Book Review
This is stellar writing. Like watching a thriller on television, you can’t stand to watch-Fitzpatrick does such a superb job of making this fiction seem real-Fans of steamy thrillers and nail-biting situations should read this book.
-Toby Berry, The US Review of Books
“What? Who are you calling a whore?”
“Me. I am calling myself a whore. I dislike you.”
“I was waiting for you in my office Marybeth. I cannot believe you left. I told you not to leave.”
“I understand what you are trying to say to me, but I am not sure I totally 100 percent believe everything that you are telling me. I don’t know what to believe anymore.”
